Yuzvendra Chahal spoke about his plans of taking a break before the IPL got suspended on 4th May. The tournament got postponed after Wriddhiman Saha, Amit Mishra, Varun Chakravarthy, and Sandeep Warrier fell sick because of the virus.
During an interview, Chahal said that he was unable to concentrate on the match after his parents were infected because of the virus. It was very disturbing news for him.
His mother has finally recovered from the deadly virus. However, his father was admitted to a local hospital. His oxygen levels had dropped below the normal level. Although he is back at home, his test is still positive.
However, the oxygen levels are back to normal and it will take him 7-10 days to recover fully.

Chahal feels that India will give its best shot in the T20 World Cup even if the tournament is shifted to UAE. It will be a big boost for them.
The players in the bio-bubble suspected the cancellation of the tournament the day the cases started rising. They also feared that their family might get affected due to the deadly virus if they catch it.
The foreign players especially were quite nervous looking at the deteriorating conditions in India.
The tournament might now presume in September. However, this time IPL might have a clash with other tournament dates. According to the reports, BCCI might request ECB to forfeit some of their test matches.
This will help the English players to participate in the IPL who might otherwise be involved in the England tournaments. Most of the IPL franchises have top English players.
