(1)Sardar Patel Stadium or Motera Cricket Stadium in Gujrat

This stadium was renamed the Narendra Modi stadium. It cost around 700 crores to built this stadium. It was created in the year 1982. The stadium has a capacity of around 49,000. The cricket stadium was completely revamped in the year 2020. On 24th February 2020, Donald Trump inaugurated it.

This stadium is known as the Motera cricket stadium to acknowledge that it is built for playing cricket especially. It is among the biggest cricket stadiums in the world. This is due to the massive amount of spectators that t can accommodate.

(2)Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia

This cricket ground is the biggest cricket ground in the world. It can accommodate a total of 1,00,024 viewers. The stadium is also the 10th biggest cricket stadium in the world. It is not far away from the city center. It is also famous for the tall light towers.

(3)Eden Gardens in Kolkata: 3rd in the list of Top Cricket Grounds

Eden Gardens is also popularly known as the “Mecca of Indian Cricket”. It is the largest and most popular cricket stadium in Kolkata. The England vs India match was the first match to be organized over here. This is also the home ground of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise.

(4)Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur

Sunil Gavaskar thinks that it is one of the best cricket stadiums in the world. Around 65000 viewers can adjust in this stadium so far. Canada vs Chattisgarh was the first match to be played over here. This stadium has not hosted any international cricket till now.

(5)Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium

The total cost of construction of this stadium was 237 crores. India vs New Zealand was the first test match to be played over here. This is also the home ground of the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise.

There were a lot of controversies regarding the Rajiv Gandhi stadium. One of them was that it is the highest-scoring ground due to its small size.

This ground was declared to be unfit even before it could conduct a first-class match. However, there were some changes made and became appropriate by 2008. This ground hosted the Deccan Chargers in the first season of IPL.

(6)Greenfield International Stadium

Not only cricket but also football matches are played in this stadium. The first match to be organized over here was India vs New Zealand cricket. It was on the 7th of November in the year 2017. Around 55,000 people can adjust in this stadium.

(7)Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium

This stadium also organizes both cricket and football matches. It was built in the year 1996. India vs Australia was the first match to be conducted over here.

The Indian National Football team uses this stadium for conducting international competitions. It is also the home ground of Delhi Dynamos which is an ISL football club.  Several matches of the under-17 FIFA World Cup were conducted in this stadium.

The main reason for constructing this stadium was to host the 1982 Asian games.

(8)DY Patil Sports Stadium

This stadium conducted the final matches of IPL 2008 and 2010. It also organizes football apart from cricket matches. It was built in the year 2008.

This stadium was also the home ground of the Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians for a short period of time.  This ground has hosted around two IPL matches. One was in the year 2008 and the other was in 2010. Both were IPL finals.

This stadium was also the home ground of Mumbai City FC. The Hero ISL 2014 tournament was also conducted in this stadium.

(9)Adelaide Oval in Australia

The first international match to be conducted over here was Australia vs England match. It was made in the year 1871. The stadium was completely revamped in the year 2014. Now it is the biggest stadium in Australia. The stadium is known for its world-class facilities. It can accommodate around 55,000 people in it.

Lord’s stadium in London

This cricket ground was constructed after the name of the founder Thomas Lord. It was built in the year 1814. This cricket ground can accommodate a total of 30,000 people. It is also very famous because of its architecture.
