It seems that ECB has not agreed with the proposal of BCCI to shift their match by a week. There is no possibility of ECB shifting the Test match series dates. This means that the Indian tour to England will remain unchanged.
The inaugural 100 of ECB is set to take place between 24th July and 21st August. If the matches start in the end week of July with minimum or no gaps in between then the entire month of September will be available for conducting the IPL tournament.
Most probably BCCI will conduct the tournament between September 15 and October 15 in UAE. UAE is a safe option for BCCI to conduct the tournament.
The second part of IPL will take place in UAE
UAE is a much safer option for conducting the IPL as compared to India. As pointed out by Wriddhiman Saha, there were a lot of breaches in the bio-bubble in India. People were not restricted from going to practice places. Also, the frequent travel to different cities increased the COVID-19 cases.
There might be a change of dates in the Caribbean Premier League. CPL will most likely end around the 14th or 15th of September.
There will be 31 matches in total that will be played in the UAE.
BCCI suspended the IPL 2021 tournament on the 4th of May as the number of COVID positive cases in the bio-bubble increased. The Australian players were taken to the Maldives as the Australian government had banned flights from India.
Now that the ban is removed they have moved back to Australia.
Earlier England had announced that the English players may not participate in the second half of the IPL. However, if the tournament in England gets finished fast then they might get a chance to participate.
