As of now, there is a second wave of COVID-19 in India. Meanwhile, Pat Cummins from Kolkata Knight Riders feels that canceling the IPL tournament will not help.
Cummins further said that the matches atleast help people sitting in their houses to cope up with the everyday chores.

Pat Cummins has also donated 50,000 dollars to relief fund
Cummins donated this amount for buying oxygen cylinders for the people. There was an overwhelming response by cricketers and people outside the community.
Shreevats Goswami has also donated around 90,000 for the oxygen cylinders. After making the donation he also requested other cricketers to come forward and make donations for India in this global pandemic.
Kolkata Knight Riders as of now is at the fifth spot on the points table. They have played a total of 7 matches and won in just 2 of them. KKR has amassed around 4 points in the points table.
Kolkata Knight Riders will next face off Royal Challengers Bangalore on the 3rd of May. Royal Challengers Bangalore have outperformed expectations in this season. They are at the third spot with victory in 5 out 6 matches played.
They have amassed 10 points in the points table. It will be a tough competition between KKR and RCB.
