Michael Slater has said that he has not been able to make even a penny after leaving the IPL. Slater criticized Scott Morrison the Australian Prime Minister for putting a travel ban on flights. Later Slater was accused of giving more importance to money than health. However, the commentator later clarified that he has not even made a penny from the IPL.
Morrison has put a travel ban on flights from India. This is due to the increasing number of COVID cases in India. The flights have been banned till the 15th of May.

Slater further said that the Australian government needs to have some empathy as the condition in India is getting worse. He has not earned any money due to his early departure from the tournament.
