Luke Ronchi became a sensation as he represented both Australia and New Zealand. The latter played domestic cricket for Australia and was a part of Western Australia after he migrated to Perth to play first-class cricket. Following an impressive season in first-class cricket, he was called upon to the Australian squad to replace an injured Brad Haddin against the West Indies.
Ronchi played 4 ODIs for Australia and turned out be an impressive talent with the bat as well as behind the stumps. However, he was dropped by Australia after the series against the West Indies. To further his career, Ronchi moved back to New Zealand in 2012 and was immediately offered a contract by Wellington. He became eligible to represent the Kiwis in 2013, Luke Ronchi was immediately called upon to the New Zealand team for the series against England.
However, Ronchi failed to make an impact after the New Zealand Management decided to push him up to the opening slot in 2017 and has been unheard of since.
