IPL Mega Auctions: Changes in CSK Team

MS Dhoni in a recent interview said that his core team might change in the next IPL auctions. Chennai Super Kings could not qualify for the playoffs this year.

They defeated Kings XI Punjab in the last match in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. They have scored a total of 12 points from 14 matches.

Dhoni said that it was not one of the best campaigns for Chennai Super Kings. He further said that his team committed some errors in the tournament.

Core team might change in the IPL auctions

Dhoni said that they might have to change their core team in the 2021 IPL auction. They might include some youngsters in the team.

The captain also asked his fans to be a bit optimistic. He said that their team will come back strong in the next tournament.

Dhoni also said that this year just one team performed well and that was Mumbai Indians. He also said that one of the major reasons behind CSK’s fall this year was the absence of Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Gaikwad got COVID and had to stay in quarantine for 20 days. Due to this CSK had to go on with Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson.

However, this did not work in the favour of the team.

This year dream 11 IPL 2020 is taking place in UAE. This is because it is the safest country to conduct the IPL match.

This year no spectators are allowed to watch the match from the stadium. This is done to safeguard the players from the COVID-19 virus.

Only the family of the cricketers are allowed to watch the match from the stadium.
