IPL 2021 will start from 19th September

The news about IPL 2021 has finally come out. It will resume in the United Arab Emirates in the month of September. After this the finals will be played in October. It was closed by BCCI due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the bio-bubble.

Before the IPL begins, some players from India and England will have to compete in the Test Series in England. Those of them who finish their test series on the 14th of September will move to Dubai on 15th. After this they will spend 3 days in quarantine before the IPL starts again.

BCCI will not request ECB to change their itinerary

BCCI will not ask ECB to change their schedule of the test matches. Players from England will directly move to Dubai to participate in the IPL.

There might however be a change of dates in the Caribbean Premier League tournament so that the overseas players can participate in the IPL.

There is supposed to be a discussion between BCCI and Windies cricket. The franchises will also participate in the negotiations.

CPL is expected to end around the 14th or 15th of September.

Shifting the tournament to UAE was a good decision by BCCI. This is because certain bio-bubble breaches took place in India. Hopefully, the second part of the IPL will not face any such problems.

According to the reports 31 matches will be played in UAE in the IPL. Before that, the players will also play 4 playoff days and 27 league games.

In addition to this, there will be a total of 9 or 10 double-headers and 7 single-day games.
