India Tour Of New Zealand 2020: Ind NZ ODI Series, Talking Points, Fixtures And Results, Full Squads, Stats, And More

Ind NZ ODI Series: The Indian team kickstarted their new year campaign by handing a 5-0 whitewash to the Kiwis in the T20 series. Following the shortest format of the game, the stage was now set for the 3 ODIs between India and New Zealand. Therefore, let’s dig in deeper to review the Ind NZ ODI series, fixtures and results, full squads, stats, and more.

Note: In this article, we are only going to talk about the Ind NZ ODI series.

Ind NZ ODI Series: Talking Points

Virat Kohli has stated his batting unit had floundered mentally as opposed to having their techniques laid bare in the testing conditions at New Zealand, where India went down 0-2 spectacularly. Mayank Agarwal emerged as the side’s best batsman – statistically – after four innings with an average of 25.50, emphatic evidence of the team’s struggles. It didn’t help that India lost both tosses and was asked to bat first in both Wellington and Christchurch, but the Indian captain suggested that his team may have been guilty of building up the challenges of countering the conditions more than they ought to have for the IND NZ ODI Series

Going down 0-5 in the T20Is at home , coach taking a break, India piling up a massive total… there was a lot of pressure on the Black Caps, but they paced their chase so well to prove why they are highly rated in the 50-over format in the 1st ODI of the Ind NZ ODI Series. Nicholls and Guptill set a nice base at the start, but India came back with two quick wickets. Taylor escaped an early scare when Kuldeep dropped him on 10 and Nicholls, who was already set, took responsibility and shared a fifty partnership.
