Can IPL 2021 be conducted amidst the COVID-19 pandemic?

There is a sense of fear among the BCCI authorities due to COVID-19. The global pandemic has been extended to another year. Amidst this, the IPL 2021 tournament is expected to start within a few days. Although the BCCI is adamant about conducting the tournament on the said days, there can be a change of schedule.

Although BCCI has not given any confirmed news on his. However, looking at the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic the tournament can be postponed.

According to some reports it is yet not confirmed that whether or not Mumbai Indians will face off Chennai Super Kings in the inaugural match.

The players are not allowed to leave the bio bubble at this time.

IPL 2021: Players are getting affected

Daniel Sams from Royal Challengers Bangalore has already caught the infection. He is in isolation as of now.

Last year also many players were affected due to the COVID-19 situation. A lot of players of the Chennai Super Kings franchise were unable to perform due to the infection.
