Australian players might not play in the remainder of the matches in IPL 2021 tournament

BCCI is looking forward to hosting the remainder of the matches between September and October. However, it will be a tough time for foreign players especially the Australian players to participate in it.

The 14th edition of IPL 2021 was suspended on the 4th of May after the COVID cases in the bio-bubble increased. Now BCCI is planning to host the remainder of the matches in UAE.

The Australian players were the ones to suffer the most due to the increasing cases of COVID. This is because the Australian government had banned flights from India. The players, supporting staff and the broadcasting staff has finally arrived in Australia on a charter plane.

The Australian players will be busy in their Bangladesh tour in August. The two teams will compete against each other in about 5 T20 matches. It might be difficult for the Australian team to participate in the remainder of the matches due to the packed schedule.

IPL 2021 is all set to begin in October

BCCI has decided that October will be the best month to conduct the IPL 2021 tournament. However, there may be a clash of different tournaments in the same event. The Australian players will be moving to the Caribbean Island to participate in the five-match T20I series.

Some players from England might also miss out on the matches due to their busy schedules and other matches.

This will be a huge blow to the rest of the franchises of the IPL.

Some of the England players to miss the IPL match are Ben Stokes, Joss Buttler, and Jonny Bairstow.  Even the New Zealand players might not get a chance to play in the tournament.
