Anrich Nortje is finally out of the COVID-19 scare. He has tested negative for the virus on Friday. Anrich has tested negative for the virus thrice.
Nortje posted in a video that he is excited to start his training. He is excited to go back to the field to play his match.
Nortje arrived in Mumbai on the 6th of April with a negative COVID report. However, right when he was about to enter his team bubble, he tested positive for the virus.
It is quite difficult to conduct the IPL tournament amidst the deadly pandemic. However, BCCI is taking strict precautions to safeguard its players. No spectators are allowed in the stadium to safeguard the players.
The players are advised to not have any contact with anyone outside the bio-bubble. BCCI has also decided this year to test the players regularly in the bio-bubble.
Anrich Nortje is the second-best bowler of the Delhi Capitals
Nortje proved himself to be the second-best bowler of Delhi Capitals in IPL 2020. He also became the fourth-best bowler in the entire tournament.
He finished with 22 wickets in 16 matches last year.
