Kings XI Punjab’s current coach Anil Kumble turned 50 on the 17th of October. Many Indian cricketers wished the coach on completing his 50 years.
Kumble has leaded India in 14 Tests. He has also set a record for the highest number of wickets in his career.

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli wished Kumble on Twitter. Earlier Kohli and Kumble had worked together in a team with one being captain and the other being coach.

Kumble is the only Indian bowler so far to grab a total of 619 wickets in the Test cricket.
Kumble began his debut match in the year 1990. He started the match as a legspinner from Karnataka. He initially wanted to be a fast bowler. However, later became a leg spinner.
He became an important member of the cricket team in the season 1993/94. He is popular for showing his guts on the field. He had to undergo surgery after being hit on his jaw in the Antigua Test.
Even towards the end of his career, he displayed his spectacular skills on the field. He scored a century for India during Oval Test.
He was the only person to score a century in that season of IPL. However, towards the end of his career, he encountered some injuries that made him retire from his journey.
